The Window goes into production
The first batch of 50 starts this week. Rory and I fly out to China to supervise and work through any problems on the first units.
Manufacturing has not been smooth. We have worked through QC issues and an export ban in the supply chain, and some risk remains in the date. That is why we are going ourselves.
Aiming for a September launch.
The main light is ready for scale
Arms are now vacuum-pumped and delivered sealed from a large water-cooling factory - 100% reliability so far on the water-cooling components they make.
Remotes are now assembled by our Window manufacturer with rigorous QC. Unit costs keep coming down.
US set up
We have registered a US LLC subsidiary. Americans can now pay with Affirm, and our HSA/FSA application is in - so people can put pre-tax health money towards a light.
Nat (with new O-1 visa) will spend August in the US meeting our customers and pushing office sales.
Website overhaul
Rebuilt with all-new photography and film, shot in Prague with Petr Krejci. Also optimised for ecommerce: clearer CTAs, better pixel tracking, and regular A/B testing. See it at sundaylight.cc.
